![]() ![]() If I position my ship horizontal to the plate I'm aiming at, and shoot into the side of a large mountain, I have like no issues, my FPS drops to like 30 from 60 (v-sync), and I can just chew across the surface smoothly. I think there are some issues related to the core and plate boundaries. It's all pretty complex and would probably take many hours to figure out on my own. Would I need to move power generators to the turret or can it use the main ship's supply? What about a storage chest, could I leave that on the main ship and still link the salvage beam to it? For that matter could the cannon modules stay on the main ship and link to the salvage beam in the turret? Guessing not. My salvage ship is getting large enough where moving the beam around is kind of hard, been thinking about taking all the salvage and cannon modules, doubling them, and moving them all to a turret. I read adding a 100% damage pulse support doubles the speed and energy, but wouldn't just using double the number of salvage modules do the same? I sold all those missiles and explosion modules and now have like 100 salavage modules and 70 cannon modules linked to it, which can chew through stuff kind of fast, but I feel like there is probably a better way to set it up. How useful is a 100% or 200% missile support? I tried making an explosion effect computer and 50 modules hoping to get some AoE mining, only to find out the salvage beam can't use effects. I've tried missiles, but maybe I didn't use enough, I heard they add extra beams but I had no obvious effect from a 30% support (all I could make at the time). I've been trying to do some experimenting but haven't had much success beyond the basic starting setup of a salvage beam with a cannon support. ![]()
